Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, inspected the troops participating in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War along the Chang'an Avenue in Beijing on Wednesday.

Forty-five formations and echelons were reviewed in the parade. Many of the weapons and pieces of equipment appeared in public for the first time.
